在交易卡牌中,强度分级(power scaling)是社区得出的关于一张卡牌在特定游戏当前环境(即“meta”,即主流环境)中具有竞争可行性或游戏强度的评估。它不是官方的评级标准。主流等同概念:性能评级。如果一张卡牌能持续赢得比赛或主导竞技对战,它就被认为是“高强度”的。“低强度”卡牌则缺乏这种竞争优势。对于收藏家来说,这决定了卡牌的价值是由其可玩性(实用价值)驱动,还是由怀旧感/艺术性(美学价值)驱动。

对价格的影响

强度分级创造了不同的定价层级。定义了当前环境(meta-defining)的高强度卡牌保持着较高的流动性和溢价,即使市场出现小波动,需求也往往是持续的。一张被评为“Tier 1”(第一梯队)的卡牌,其价格可能比功能上完全相同但强度较低的卡牌高出 3 倍到 10 倍。相反,如果一张卡牌的强度最近下降了(即“死卡”dead card),除非它属于一个非常抢手的老式套装(vintage set),否则它的价值将会停滞或下跌。例如:一张核心的、高强度的卡牌可能保持在 $50 的价值,而一张可比但目前不可用的卡牌可能只卖 $15。
