意味するもの

ボーダーとは、トレーディングカードの周囲、つまり中央のアートワークを縁取る物理的な素材を指します。これは単なる「端」ではなく、角を含めた目に見えるボーダー領域全体を指します。グレーディングの専門用語において、ボーダーの状態はカード全体のコンディションと切り離せません。ここでの摩耗は「エッジウェア(Edge Wear)」や「コーナーの欠け/丸まり(Corner Dings/Rounding)」として分類されます。シャープでパリッとしたボーダーは、取り扱いや保管によるストレスが最小限であることを示します。逆に、チッピング(欠け)、ホワイトニング(エッジ付近の印刷の変色や浮き)、または角の丸まりは物理的な擦れ傷を意味します。この状態は、カードの最終的な数値グレード(例:PSA 9 対 PSA 8)を決定する主要因となります。

価格への影響
