リーダークオピーとは、手に取られ、読まれたコミックのことです。この用語は、Mint(ミント)やNear Mint(ニアミント)のグレーディングを受けていないコピーを指します。一般的には「中古」または「流通品」に相当します。ハイグレードのコピーとは異なり、リーダークオピーには使用の兆候が見られます。具体的には、わずかな背表紙のストレス、取り扱いのによるしわ、ページのわずかな変色、または表面の軽い擦れなどです。状態は本質的に変動的であり、摩耗の程度に応じて概ね「Good(グッド)」から「Fine(ファイン)」の範囲に分類されます。この用語は、その本が本来の目的である「読まれること」を果たし、現在は完璧な保存状態ではなくコンテンツの価値に基づいて再販されていることを意味します。
