eBay selling fees, explained
- What fees does eBay charge sellers in 2026?
- For most collectibles, games and card categories, eBay takes a final-value fee of about 13.25% of the total sale amount (item price + shipping charged to the buyer), plus a fixed $0.30 per order. If you promote the listing with eBay Ads, that percentage is added on top of the final-value fee.
- How is profit calculated on a flip?
- Profit = sale price − eBay final-value fee − $0.30 fixed fee − your shipping cost − what you paid for the item. ROI is that profit divided by what you paid. This calculator does the math instantly as you type.
- Should I charge the buyer for shipping?
- Charging the buyer shipping raises the fee base slightly but keeps your margin intact — eBay's fee applies to the total including shipping. Either way, enter your actual postage cost in the shipping field so the net is honest.
- What is a good ROI for reselling?
- Most full-time flippers target 50%+ ROI and at least $10 profit per item. Thin items (under $5 profit) are only worth it when they sell fast — check the item's sold-price trend on its JunkPal price page before buying.
